Hayatabad Flyover


Feasibility study and design for improvement of Intersection at Phase-III Entry Jamrud Road, Hayatabad, Peshawar.

The project is located at the intersection of Phase-III entry - Jamrud road, Hayatabad in the Western suburbs of Peshawar city. The intersection is a ‘T’ intersection with a heavy flow of traffic from all directions. There is also a railway line parallel to the Jamrud road, which also has to be accommodated in the design.

There were seven different proposals for the intersection which were analyzed technically (on the basis of traffic engineering) and economically and the best proposal was approved. The approved proposal provides safe and uninterrupted traffic movements to all directions including U-Turns at the intersection and across the railway line. It will not only improve the flow of traffic and remove congestion and delay but also result in economic savings and environmental benefits. The project comprises of 2 one way leve1 bridges and a one way level 2 bridge.

The project cost of this PDA (Peshawar Development Authority) project is Rs 1.0 billion.
